Who is this program for?
This program is only for Veterans enrolled in VA health care who are ready to quit tobacco. If you are not enrolled in VA health care, you can apply at any time. Find out how to apply for VA health care.
SmokefreeVET is offered through a collaboration between the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the National Cancer Institute’s Smokefree.gov. If you're not a Veteran, another text messaging program may be right for you.
How does it work?
Sign up with the form below or text VET to 47848.
After you confirm your enrollment, you will receive daily text messages to support you in quitting tobacco from the short code 47848 (message and data rates may apply). The program lasts for 6-8 weeks.
